Making money is a must if you want to keep living your best life. You can either get stuck in a boring 9-to-5 job in a stuffy office, or you can jump on the remote working bandwagon like the cool kids. The same goes to studying at home versus outdoor location. Some people like to work from home in their jammies, but for those of you who want to get out of the house, I’ve got your back.
When I’m looking for a coffee shop to work at, I need it to be spacious and airy. I’m not trying to get claustrophobic in some tiny corner! And let’s not forget the most important part: food and coffee. I need those brain-fueling treats to keep me going for hours. But hold on, let’s not get too crazy. A crowded coffee shop can be a nightmare, with people and fashion trends distracting you left and right. And let’s not even get started on the chairs! If I’m going to be sitting for hours on end, my butt better be comfortable.
So, here’s the deal. I’ve found some coffee shops that are perfect for getting your work done without any distractions. They’ve got a pleasant atmosphere, plenty of outlets for charging your laptop, and even parking (because who likes feeding the meter or moving their car every hour?). But please be mindful of others in the coffee shop and keep noise levels down, particularly when using the coffee shop for group brainstorming. After all, we’re all here to get work done.

Moe’s coffee

Personally, I’m obsessed with their Northpark location – it’s the perfect spot to get your work done without any distractions. The space is so dang spacious and airy, you’ll feel like you’re working on a cloud. And the best part? It’s never too crowded, so you can actually concentrate on your work instead of worrying about someone else’s elbow in your space. Plus, plenty of coffee alternatives with an extensive food menu, I never have to worry about my workspace being snatch on my much needed breaks.

The seating is mostly indoor, but don’t worry – the floor to ceiling windows bring in so much of that San Diego sunlight. The only downside? They only offer pastries. But hey, a little sugar rush never hurt nobody, right?
The Simple Coffee House

As the name suggests, this La Mesa spot is all about the coffee, and the decoration is… Well, let’s just say it’s a little more traditional than your average hipster joint. They offer small bites like toasts, bagels, and pastries that’ll satisfy any craving. But if that’s not really your thing, just pop next door to the restaurant that makes a mean breakfast. There’s plenty of parking for all those long study sessions. And if you’re one of those multitasking gurus, you’re in luck – there are groceries, dry cleaners, banks, and even a fitness club nearby.

This Northpark location is so spacious that you could probably do cartwheels without hitting anyone! Just kidding, but they do have lot of space and outlets to keep your laptop charged all day. Plus, they have both indoor and outdoor seating depending on your mood. They’ve teamed up with Native Poppy to bring some greenery into your life. And if you’re down in Southpark, they’ve got an outdoor-only location that’s perfect for meeting up with friends and catching up on the latest gossip.
